This will be an exciting 1-day IN PERSON event including keynote speakers, interactive workshops, and recovery-oriented activities brought together exclusively for everyone working in the peer recovery support services field. This year’s theme celebrates the power of collective knowledge and collaboration in creating innovative, inclusive, and effective support systems. We’ll be highlighting the importance of our community coming together to share successes, learn from one another, and advance peer recovery support services for all.

  • What is the Conference Registration Fee?
    The NJPN 2024 Annual Conference will be a two-day event, held on May 16 and 17, 2024 with options to join us for a single day on May 16 OR May 17, or for the full two-day event. Early Bird Rate thru December 31, 2023 Day 1 (May 16): $100 Day 2 (May 17): $200 Full Conference (May 16 & 17): $300 Advance Registration Rate beginning January 1, 2024 thru April 14, 2024 Day 1 (May 16): $125 Day 2 (May 17): $225 Full Conference (May 16 & 17): $350 Late Registration Rate beginning April 15, 2024 thru May 15, 2024 Day 1 (May 16): $150 Day 2 (May 17): $250 Full Conference (May 16 & 17): $400
  • Does the Registration Fee Cover All Expenses?
    Day 1 Registration Fee includes: 1 (2-hour) workshop session; access to Exhibit Hall; Conference educational materials; and networking opportunities. Invitation to Conference Reception included with registration. Day 2 Registration Fee includes: Continental breakfast, hot lunch, and afternoon snack; access to Keynote, Plenary, and 2 (1-hour) workshop sessions; access to Exhibit Hall; Conference educational materials; and networking opportunities. Invitation to Conference Reception included with registration. Full Conference Registration Fee includes all above for Day 1 and Day 2
  • Are Scholarships Available to Attend the 2024 Annual Conference?
    Yes! The Governor’s Council on Substance Use Disorder (GCSUD, formerly GCADA), is offering scholarships to active municipal alliance members to attend the NJPN 2024 Annual Conference! The scholarship will cover the registration fee for Friday, May 17, 2024. A separate paid registration form must be submitted to attend Thursday, May 16, 2024. Scholarship recipients must commit to attending the NJPN 2024 Annual Conference in-person at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, NJ.
  • Will On-Site Registration Be Available?
    The 2024 NJPN Annual Conference is currently sold out, meaning we won't be able to offer onsite registrations this year. Please feel free to submit a registration application to join our waitlist for the 2024 conference. 2024 Conference Registration Application: https://conferenceregistration.njpn.org/applications/registrant/ Please be sure to join us for our 25th NJPN Annual Conference in 2025!
  • May I Transfer My Registration to Another Person?
    Absolutely! If you have registered for the event and are no longer able to attend, you may transfer your paid registration to another person. Substitutions are permitted at any time at no additional cost, however, requests for substitutions must be received via email. Prior to May 10, 2024: Please email the name of the original registrant and the name of the person substituting to Susanna@njpn.org and include “2024 Conference Substitution” in the subject line. After May 10, 2024: Advance substitutions will no longer be accepted at this time, but substitutions can be made on-site at Guest Services. Please bring a copy of the original registration confirmation email to present at Guest Services the day of the Conference.
  • How Can I Cancel My Registration / What is the Refund Policy?
    NJPN makes financial obligations based on the number of registrants for the Conference, therefore, a refund cannot be provided after April 15, 2024 – unless the event is cancelled. Requests for cancellation must be received via email for processing. Please email all cancellation requests to Susanna@njpn.org and include “2024 Conference Cancellation” in the subject line. All requests for cancellation with full refund will be accepted through April 15,2024, after which all cancellations/no-shows will be charged the full registration fee. You may substitute another individual for your paid registration at any time (See Transfer FAQ)
  • Are Scholarships Available to Attend the 2024 Annual Conference?
    At this time, we do not have any scholarships available. If you are interested in attending the Conference, please register as soon as possible to take advantage of the lower rate.
  • Can I Invite My Friends and Colleagues to Attend the Event?
    Absolutely – we are counting on you to invite others! Help us spread the word by simply sharing the link to this page and they can register at their convenience, including day of the event.
  • Where Will the Conference be Held?
    After four consecutive years hosting NJ's largest addiction conference virtually, we are thrilled to return to an in-person format at the Atlantic City Convention Center, located at 1 Convention Blvd, Atlantic City, NJ, 08401.
  • How Can I Travel to the Atlantic City Convention Center?
    The Atlantic City Conference Center can be reached through multiple modes of public transportation: Atlantic City Airport – ~12 miles/20 minutes from ACCC Philadelphia Airport – ~65 miles/60 minutes from ACCC Atlantic City Rail Line (NJ Transit) – arrives at ACCC
  • Do I Have to Pay for Parking?
    Parking will be validated for registered Conference attendees at the Atlantic City Convention Center garage only. Parking validation will be available throughout the entire Conference. Attendees staying overnight at the Sheraton Hotel under the NJPN room block will have self-parking fees validated by NJPN. Valet parking fees must be paid by hotel guest at the Sheraton. (See Hotel FAQ for room block information) Parking at other locations cannot be validated at the Conference.
  • Is Accessible Parking Available?
    Yes! Accessible Parking is available at the Atlantic City Convention Center parking garage. To access this area, it is required that your valid handicap access tag or license plates are visibly displayed on your vehicle at all times while parked in this designated area. Please indicate your need for accessible parking on the registration form to ensure there will be space provided for you.
  • Are Non-Casino Hotel Accommodations Available?
    Yes! The Sheraton Atlantic City is connected to the Atlantic City Convention Center. NJPN has worked with the Sheraton hotel to offer attendees a discounted room rate of $119 plus tax. Please call* 1-888-627-7212 and reference “NJPN 2024,” “NJ Prevention Network,” or “Prevention Network” to take advantage of the discounted rate. All reservations must be made prior to April 15, 2024. *Online reservations will not be able to accommodate the discounted rate.
  • Is a Coat Check Available?
    There is no coat check at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The room temperatures may vary from warm to quite chilly, so dressing in layers or keeping your coat handy will keep you comfortable throughout the day.
  • Will Food be Provided at the Conference?
    Please join us at the Conference Reception on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 4pm to 6pm. The Conference Reception is a warm, informal gathering for attendees to network and relax. Light refreshments and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Continental breakfast, hot lunch, and afternoon snacks will be available on Friday, May 17, 2024. Hot lunch options include: Chicken (gluten-free) Pasta (meatless/vegetarian) Vegan Kosher/Halal* *Please note, this is a frozen entrée as the Atlantic City Convention Center is not a kosher/halal kitchen. If none of the above options meet your dietary restrictions, please consider bringing your own meal.
  • How can I earn credit from workshops?
    CEUs are earned by completing the workshop requirements of checking in and out to each workshop session, attending workshops in their entirety, and completing the workshop evaluation survey at the end of each session. Earned certificates will be stored in the conference app for viewing/downloading at any time. Please allow up to 48 hours for certificates to appear in your app profile.
  • Will Renewal Credits or Professional Development Hours be Awarded?
    Yes, renewal credits/professional development hours will be awarded for the below credentials upon completion of workshop requirements (see above). The NJPN 2024 Annual Conference is preapproved for credits for all certifications issued by The Addiction Professionals Certification Board of NJ. CCS – Certified Clinical Supervisor CDA – Chemical Dependency Associate CJC – Criminal Justice Counselor CPRS – Certified Peer Recovery Specialist CPS – Certified Prevention Specialist CRSP – Certified Recovery Support Practitioner L/CADC - Licensed/Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor L/CSW - Licensed/Clinical Social Worker* LAAT – Licensed Associate Art Therapist** LAC – Licensed Associated Counselor LPAT – Licensed Professional Art Therapist** LPC – Licensed Professional Counselor LRC – Licensed Rehabilitation Counselor M/CHES - Master/Certified Health Education Specialist*** MFT – Marriage and Family Therapist MFT-Associate – Marriage and Family Therapist Permit NCPRSS – National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist PH – Public Health Department of Education Professional Development Hours also will be awarded. *Approval Pending through Social Work Board of Examiners **Approval Pending through Division of Consumer Affairs ***Approval Pending through NCHEC Other credentials not listed here are not pre-approved and will need to be submitted by attendees to their respective Board. Conference program, workshop descriptions, and certificates of attendance are available to each attendee to assist individuals interested in applying for renewal credit to their respective Boards.
  • How Many Renewal Credits or Professional Development Hours Will be Awarded?
    The NJPN 2024 Annual Conference is offering: 2 CEUs for Day One Workshops 6 CEUs for Day Two Workshops 8 CEUs for Full Conference
  • If I am Unable to Stay for the Full Day, Can I Receive Partial Credit?
    Credits are earned per completed workshop. Individual certificates will be generated upon completion of workshop requirements. Please see above “How to earn credits” question for more detail on workshop requirements.
  • I Don’t Need Credits, Can I Have a Certificate of Attendance?
    Yes! All conference attendees will be issued a generic Certificate of Attendance at the end of each day.
  • How Do I Check In for the Conference?
    Prior to the event, you will receive a confirmation email which will include a QR code for easy check-in to access the day’s event. You may print this confirmation email and bring with you, or you may access this QR code through the mobile app (see Download FAQ). Upon arrival at the Atlantic City Convention Center, please visit any of the registration booths on the 2nd floor in front of Hall A to check-in and receive your badge. This badge must be worn at all times to gain access to the Conference. Please note, all registrations are subject to the organizers' review and approval.
  • Do I Need to Download or Install Any Information to be Able to Attend this Event?
    The NJPN 2024 Annual Conference will utilize the vFairs event management app to enhance your conference experience. This app will provide you with up-to-date information regarding the Speakers, Workshops, Exhibitors, and other important notifications.   • Is the Conference an Interactive Experience?
    Yes! The vFairs app will offer a fun, interactive way to enjoy the NJPN 2024 Annual Conference. Feel free to participate in the Scavenger Hunt, Photo Gallery, News Feed, and other activities to earn points and dominate the Leaderboard!
  • Can I Network with Exhibitors and Other Attendees during the NJPN 2024 Conference?
    Yes, you will have access to numerous learning and networking opportunities through keynote sessions, workshops, and exhibitor booths. Attendees can share their business profile with speakers, exhibitors, and other attendees during the event. There are several breaks throughout the conference designated for networking and connecting with each other.
  • How Do I Check In to Workshops?
    Your 2024 NJPN Annual Conference badge will include a printed QR code for you to scan in and out of each workshop session you attend during the event. Workshop Monitors will be stationed at the entrance of each workshop to scan your badge to ensure attendance has been captured to earn credit. You must scan your badge to check in and out of each workshop to earn credit.
  • How Do I Complete Surveys ?
    At the end of each workshop session, a survey will appear on the vFairs app for you to complete as part of the workshop requirements to earn credit for the session. There is opportunity to go back to the workshop survey and complete later if you are not able to do so at the end of the workshop session. The Conference Overall Survey will appear at the end of each day for you to complete for another chance to earn points for the Leaderboard.
  • I Have ADA Accessibility Needs, What Are My Options?
    The Atlantic City Convention Center accessibility features include: elevators to all levels; exterior ramps for wheelchair access; braille signage in elevators and meeting rooms; and accessible restrooms with appropriate fixtures. Please contact our Registration Coordinator, Susanna Emanuel, at Susanna@njpn.org to request additional needed ADA accommodation.
