What is the Conference Agenda?


The agenda is below. A listing of Conference Workshops will be available closer to the Conference.

  • 10:10 AM – 10:30 AM—Exhibits & Networking
  • 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM—Morning Workshop

  • 1:00 PM – 2:15 PM—Power Session
  • 2:15 PM – 2:30 PM—Exhibits & Networking
  • 2:30 PM – 3:45 PM—Afternoon Workshop
  • 3:45 PM – 4:00 PM—Certificate of Attendence (Request for Credit forms Collected)




What is the Conference Registration Fee?


Early Registration: $100.
Registration May 1, 2020 – June 17, 2020: $125.
Registration onsite June 18, 2020: $150.

  • Full payment must be received to confirm registration
  • Payment by check or P.O. must be postmarked before March 31, 2020. After this date, unpaid registrations will be voided and credit card payment required to re-register at increased rate
  • Registered attendees may cancel prior to May 31, 2020 for payment reimbursement (see Cancellation procedure in FAQ)
  • Substitutions may occur any time – including day of the conference (see Substitution procedure in FAQ).
  • Online registration closes Sunday, June 14, 2020​

Can I Register Onsite the Day of the Conference?


Limited on-site attendee registration is available at the rate: $150

Online-registration closes Sunday – June 14, 2020

Registration substitutions may take place the day of the Conference at Guest Services (see Substitution Procedure in FAQ)




What is the Wait-List Procedure?


A registration wait-list is activated once the Conference registration reaches capacity. Those on the wait-list remain on “stand-by” until cancellation notifications are received by NJPN, making a space available. The wait-list operates one-slot at a time; if/when a cancellation is made, the space is offered to individuals in the order in which their registration application was received. The wait-list typically shows movement after the deadline for cancellation refunds (May 31, 2020).




What are the GCADA Scholarship Requirements?


GCADA scholarships are available to active Municipal Alliance members. Scholarships will be awarded to the first 200 qualifying applicants. When registering, select Scholarship Applicant > GCADA Scholarship option under PAYMENT INFORMATION. Your registration/scholarship status will remain pending until verification of an active membership. Scholarship requirements:

  • Recipients must commit to attending the conference or notify NJPN to reallocate their awarded scholarship to another candidate
  • Failure to utilize or reassign a secured scholarship will be reported to GCADA
  • Applications due before May 31, 2020 (or sooner if scholarships are filled)




What Are the HTS Scholarship Requirements?


The New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety (NJDHTS) developed a special conference track to highlight issues for professionals to incorporate into HTS related work. Scholarships will be awarded to the first 100 qualifying applicants. When registering, select Scholarship Applicant > HTS Scholarship option under PAYMENT INFORMATION. Your registration/scholarship status will remain pending until application is reviewed and approved. Scholarship requirements:

  • ​Attend the NJDHTS workshop track
  • Must sign-in and complete evaluation at each HTS workshop
  • Complete post-conference online survey
  • Applications due before May 31, 2020 (or sooner if scholarships are filled)




What Are the Peer Scholarship Requirements?


Peer scholarships are available to all Peer workers (full-time, part-time, per diem, and volunteer). Scholarships will be awarded to the first 200 qualifying applicants. When registering, select Scholarship Applicant > Peer Scholarship option under PAYMENT INFORMATION. Your registration/scholarship status will remain pending until the review of your application is completed. Scholarship requirements:

  • Attend one morning session, one afternoon session, and one Power session
  • Complete all evaluation conference requirements
  • Applications due before May 31, 2020 (or sooner if scholarships are filled)




Will Renewal Credits or Professional Development Hours Be Given?


Upon completion of Renewal Credit Request Form (pink form distributed and collected at the closing workshop) 6 hours of credits will be awarded for all certifications issued by The Certification Board including:

  • ​CPS (Certified Prevention Specialist) recertification credits
  • CADC/LCADC (Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor) renewal credits
  • MFT, MFT-Associate (Marriage and Family Therapist, Marriage and Family Therapist Permit)
  • LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) renewal credits
  • LAC (Licensed Associate Counselor) renewal credits
  • LRC (Licensed Rehabilitation Counselor) renewal credits
  • CSW/LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) continuing education addiction-focused credits
  • CDA (Chemical Dependency Associate) recertification credits
  • CJC (Criminal Justice Counselor) recertification credits
  • PH (Public Health Continuing Education Contact Hours) NEW
  • WTS (Women’s Treatment Specialist) recertification credits
  • CCS (Certified Clinical Supervisor) recertification credits
  • CEUs for CRPS (Certified Peer Recovery Specialist) and CRSP (Certified Recovery Support Practitioner)
Department of Education Professional Development Hours (6 CE hours) will also be awarded. Other credentials are not pre-approved and need to be submitted by attendee to their respective Board. Conference program, workshop descriptions and certificates of attendance are given to each attendee to assist individuals interested in applying for renewal credit to their respective Boards.




How Long Do I Have to Be at the Conference to Get a Certificate?


FOR ATTENDANCE: General attendance certificates are distributed at the end of the conference at 4:00 p.m. (no credit). FOR CREDIT: Personalized certificates for renewal credit are issued upon submission of a “Renewal Credit Request Form” (pink form distributed and collected during the closing workshops for 6 hours of credit). One must complete, sign and submit this form to receive a certificate for credit. Certificates are mailed within 30 days of the Conference. Incomplete and/or inaccurate forms will delay certificate processing. Renewal certificates are for 6 hours of educational credit and that requirement must be fulfilled to receive credit.




What Are the Lunch Options?


NJPN conference offers 2 primary lunch options to registered attendees:

  • Chicken or
  • Pasta/Meatless
Additional options are available if requested at the time of reservation. (Lunch ticket will be provided for the following reserved options):
  • Vegan
  • Gluten-free
  • (Ramadan Fasting) Box Lunch




What Are the Parking Details at ACCC?


Parking will be validated for registered conference participants parking at the Atlantic City Convention Center garage only. Parking validation for ACCC garage tickets is open throughout the entire Conference. Accessible parking is available at the ACCC parking garage. To access this area, it is required your valid handicap access tag or license plates are visibly displayed on your vehicle at all times. Parking for Sheraton Hotel guests cannot be validated at the Conference and must be paid by hotel guest at the Sheraton. Parking at other locations cannot be validated at the Conference.




Is There a Coat-Check Available?


The room temperature at the Atlantic City Convention Center varies from warm to quite chilly, so dressing in layers or keeping your coat handy will keep you comfortable throughout the day.




Is There a Non-Casino Hotel Available?


There are rooms available at the Sheraton Atlantic City (connected to the Atlantic City Convention Center). Check the Hotel page for additional information.




What is the Substitution Procedure?


If you are unable to attend the Conference, you may transfer your registration to another person at any time at no additional cost.

  • Prior to June 15, 2020: Please email the name of the original registrant and the name of the person substituting to Susanna@NJPN.org and include “Conference Substitution” in the subject line.
  • After June 15, 2020: Substitutions can be made on-site at Guest Services. Please forward registration confirmation email to the person substituting to present at Guest Services the day of the conference.




What Are the Cancellation Procedure and Refund Policys?


Cancellation notifications must be received in writing to receive a refund of the registration fee. Refunds cannot be provided after May 31, 2020—unless the event is cancelled. You may substitute another individual at any time (see Substitution Procedure FAQ). Please email cancellation requests to Susanna@NJPN.org and include “Conference Cancellation” in the subject line.
