About the Course

Mindfulness-Oriented Recovery Enhancement (MORE) is an evidence-based program designed to be implanted over the course of 8 weeks. This is a skill-based training that uses an integrative therapeutic approach as a means of strengthening self-regulator capacity. It is designed to reduce addictive behavior, emotional distress, and chronic pain while increasing healthy pleasure, joy and meaning in life. Participants will receive intense didactic and experiential instruction on how to implement specialized mindfulness techniques and other skills integral to Mindfulness-Oriented Recovery Enhancement (MORE). This training will be offered to Peer Recovery Specialists and Licensed Clinical Staff.

What You'll Achieve

Upon completion of the 8 week course, participants will develop a basic level of competency and techniques on the MORE concepts and interventions. To achieve and enhance overall personal wellbeing, participants will learn strategies that include mindfulness, reappraisal and savoring skills.

  • Participants will identify personal examples of craving and unhealthy habit behaviors.

  • Participants will apply integrated components of MORE to address craving and unhealthy habit behaviors, physical and emotional pain, stress reactivity and anhedonia.

  • Participants will practice the therapeutic techniques of mindfulness, reframing and savoring outlined in the MORE curriculum.

Renewal Credits
16 educational hours can be applied to re-certification for CPRS and NCPRSS.

  • NJPN will follow up with you to confirm your entry to the training program. You're on your way to mindfulness!

Please Note:

These trainings are multi-week commitments and attendance is crucial in order to receive credits. Partial credit will not be given for incomplete attendance.
