Medicated-Assisted Recovery Training (MAT) is a training focused on the use of FDA-approved medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a "whole-patient" approach to the treatment of substance use disorders.
This training is designed as a non-clinical, 1-day, (6) hour training for individuals providing Peer Recovery Support Services in New Jersey.
Goals & Objectives:
- Describe the components of Medication Assisted Recovery (MAT)
- Demonstrate an understanding of the benefits and limitations of all available medication assisted recovery options.
- Discuss the range of treatment goals and pathways of recovery.
6 Hour Training
Space is limited, registration required
All 6 educational hours can be applied towards the recertification of NJ Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) and the NAADAC National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (NCPRSS) credentials
