Medicated-Assisted Recovery Training (MAT) is a training focused on the use of FDA-approved medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a "whole-patient" approach to the treatment of substance use disorders.

This training is designed as a non-clinical, 1-day, (6) hour training for individuals providing Peer Recovery Support Services in New Jersey.

Goals & Objectives:

  1. Describe the components of Medication Assisted Recovery (MAT)
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of the benefits and limitations of all available medication assisted recovery options.
  3. Discuss the range of treatment goals and pathways of recovery.

​​6 Hour Training​

Space is limited, registration required

All 6 educational hours can be applied towards the recertification of NJ Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) and the NAADAC National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (NCPRSS) credentials
