Passaic County Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Prevention was incorporated as a private, non-profit prevention agency in 1984, whose goal is to increase public awareness and advocacy for alcoholism and other drug information, assessment and referral, its nature and treatment for the purpose of alleviating the damage of alcoholism and other drug abuse and reducing the incidence of alcoholism and other drug abuse. Our goal is to educate the public to separate facts from myths on substance abuse. Our aim is the prevention of insidious dependence.
Since 1984, the Council has become a leading resource for community-based prevention initiatives, education and early intervention programs. The Council, as an affiliate of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (NCADD) is also an active participant in the National Intervention Network.
