Community Prevention Resources of Warren County is a community-oriented, non-profit organization staffed by professionals trained and certified in providing education, prevention and information services for all residents of the county. We serve the community by offering a variety of educational programs, and have an extensive resource center, which offers an array of materials that address issues of substance abuse, violence, alcohol, tobacco, and any current topics of concern to the community. If we don’t have what you need, we’ll make every effort to get it for you. Our staff operates with the highest level of integrity, excellence, vision, dedication, inclusion and sensitivity.

The Council offers courses that can lead to certification as Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS).
This presentation addresses issues concerning parents, coaches and their athletic children. Topics include being a positive role model; steroid use; keeping the fun in the sport; being a positive influence in the child’s performance; and win or lose, how to play the game.
BABES is a nationally-recognized prevention program that teaches important life skills and provides accurate, non-judgmental information about the use and abuse of alcohol and other drugs to third- and fourth-grade children.
This presentation highlights the dangers of binge drinking and how to resist peer pressure.
This presentation for students in grades 8 through 12 help students recognize and change bullying behavior.
Funded by the N.J. Dept. of Health and Senior Services. The Comprehensive Tobacco Control Program provides health education programs, raises awareness about New Jersey’s Smoke-free Air Act and works to reduce exposure to second-hand smoke among all New Jersey residents.
The CAPWC Coalition is a diverse group of community members committed to increasing the well-being of our youth and neighborhoods by preventing substance abuse.
Coping With Work and Family Stress is a 16-session weekly group intervention designed to teach employees how to develop and apply effective coping strategies to deal with stressors at work and at home. The program results in a reduction in work and family stressors, increased use of social support, less reliance on avoidance coping strategies, an increased use of stress management approaches, and more.
Footprints for Life is a research-based primary prevention program that builds assets and teaches important life skills to students in grades two and three. Footprints for Life teaches students about planning and decision-making practices, interpersonal skills, peer pressure and conflict resolution.
This asset-building program is designed to develop and reinforce resiliency skills in pre-kindergarten through second-grade children.
This program is for adults and adolescents and focuses on changing the beliefs and behaviors that lead to drug abuse and dependency.
This six-week parenting program discusses issues such as sibling rivalry, discipline and creating a safe home atmosphere.
This program provides a bridge to emotional healing for children, adolescents, and adults confronting death, divorce or other painful family transition.
A youth-driven tobacco control movement designed to prevent and reduce the spread of tobacco use among adolescents and other community members.
This program is a parenting and family management project developed specifically for family units in which parents are at high risk for substance abuse and related issues.
The Tobacco Education Group (TEG) is a program for students who have been caught smoking in school. For students who want to quit smoking, the
Tobacco Awareness Program (TAP) is a voluntary smoking cessation program.
This program is a evidence-based cognitive behavioral program designed for those functioning at a fourth grade and higher cognitive level. Relaxation techniques, videos and worksheets are utilized to guide students through their hurt and anger.
This presentation offers a variety of tools and substance abuse prevention strategies which can be used in prevention planning.
This powerful program is for parents of children pre-kindergarten to college. The program focuses on the dangers of alcohol, communication skills and rule setting.
